Randy Orton: The New Face of Smackdown

So as you all know that Randy Orton has been drafted to Friday Night Smackdown. Do you know what I'm thinking?? The WWE clearly knows that there's absolutely no wrestler to be the big face of Smackdown. Previously, the WWE wanted Edge to be the World Heavyweight Champion for some time to come, but Edge surprisingly was forced to retire. Therefore, Smackdown really needs someone to upgrade Smackdown., someone who can bring fan up to their feet, someone who can bring excitement and surprise to fan. That someone is non other than Randy Orton. I don't think that Christian is good enough to be the face of SD (I'm sorry to say this), as his in-ring performance is not exciting compared to the Viper Randy Orton. This is certainly a very smart move. The WWE is all about superstars who are larger than life, who are amazing with the mic skill and in-ring performance. I think the Viper will be champion for some months before anyone can stand up and replace him when that certain superstar has proved himself.

He will be the World Heavyweight Champion very very soon (in one month the most).

Professional Wrestling

I'm 19 and I started to love wrestling since 1997.. At that time, i didn't know what is WCW and WWF is, bectause I didn't have proper wrestling show at my home country. If you wanna talk abt the reasons and best memories, there are more than 100 and you can talk all day.

What this article remind me is that WWE has lost many talents and it's hard to bring all the new generation to be as talented at both mic skill and in-ring performance, because if anyone who has these qualities, they would be a superstar rather than being a wrestler. Wrestling is all about passion and commitment. Hope WWE will find some fresh talents who can make it big.. Let's hope 4 the best..

Btw, the superstar that has the best mic skill and catchphrase, in my opinion, is non other than the most electrifying man of sport entertainment "The Rock"

So why?? A very popular culture of America is on the downhill slope? We used to hear people talking about what had happened at schools when we met our friends. Wrestling was just popular at that day. But now why?? Well, there are many reasons that contributed to the near-demise of WWE. 1. The increasing forms of entertainment: Back in the 1990s, people would sit in front of tv to watch entertainment show and wrestling is on the top of the list. But now.... there are many forms of entertainment available esp the revolution of the computer and the epoch of internet. We have many entertaining games to play rather than wasting time to watch wrestling show which is becoming boring. (Can you imagine a wrestling show RAW has over 700 episodes??) Yes, with many episodes like that, people will become bored. Games are more entertaining. Plus, the inception of the internet era and social network. People would spend the whole day sitting in front of the PC to surf on the net or tweeting or facebooking. When people become addicted to this new and cool type of entertainment, wrestling will be neglected. 2. The lack of big name superstars: Wrestling is all about big name superstars who are larger than life. They would bring people up to their feet, anticipating for that finishing move to come, waiting for their favorite face character to get his revenge over that bad guy. Back to the late 1990s, WWE (or WWF) had big name superstars such as The Rock, Stone Cold, Shawn Michael, Triple H, Kurt Angle and so on. These superstars has become wearied and slow. They do not look powerful and believable like before. Some have left the WWE. If they hadn't left the WWE, the WWE would not lost many supporter. Didn't the WWE think about the future by promoting young generation? YES, the WWE did, but those new superstars has left the WWE (because of many reasons that I haven't known yet and some have passed away), namely Brock Lensnar, Batista, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Eddie Gurerro, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy. These are the superstar that would make it big in the future, but they are now gone. 3. The lackluster performance from the new superstar: The move in the ring lack of power and dynamic. They become slow. This will bore the fans for sure.

The Rock to wrestle at Survivor Serie 2011

The long-going saga about the WWE wanting the Rock to wrestle at Survivor Serie is no more of a rumor. The WWE has confirmed that the Rock will WRESTLE at Survivor Series, but not against John Cena. The Rock is going to team up with Cena. The Rock tweeted that he would not wait til Wrestle Mania, he will wrestle at SS and electrify MSG Arena. Fans are trying to speculate what team the Rock and Cena is going to face. Will it be Triple H or CM Punk? SS 2011 is still 2 months to go and I hope the WWE will not screw up this storyline or Wrestle Mania 28 at Miami will not captivate the world.

This news will definitely increase the buy rate of this SS PPV which had done poorly in the last few years.

Marriage or Divorce

Married or not… you should read this.
Marriage.

“When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce.— At least, in the eyes of our son—- I’m a loving husband….

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.

So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don’t share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage. Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

I saw this on the internet.. I thought I would share this on tumblr to my followers and randoms.

Will WM 28 generate more than 1 million buys?

Last year Wrestle Mania (WM 27) was a major success for the WWE, one thing Vince McMahon could boast about his company. Wrestle Mania is known as the Show of Shows, the grandest stage of them all. Wrestle Mania to the WWE is what the Superbowl is to NFL. Some pay-per-view of the WWE can disappoint, but one thing we are certain is that Wrestle Mania will always deliver. With 1,120,000 buys, WM 27 is the 2nd most purchased WWE PPV events second only to 2007 WrestleMania 23 which grosses 1,250,000 buys. Personally, the phenomenal number of the number of buy can be explained by 3 important reasons. Firstly, the Rock hosted WM 26. It was the appearance of the Rock for the first time in over 7 years. His appearance must have drawn in a large number of old audience and some mainstream viewers (who may not be wrestling fans) who want to see Dwayne The Rock Johnson in a WWE event. Secondly, credit was given to Snooki who wrestled in a mixed tag team match. Thirdly, the involvement of Stone Cold Steve Austin and other WWE superstars must be a factor for sure. WrestleMania 28 is just around the corner and the match cards is shaping to be the best and most epic WrestleMania of all time with the main event of The Rock vs John Cena; CM Punk vs Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship, Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship; and if you think of WrestleMania, one man will definitely comes to your mind – The Undertaker and he will wrestle Triple H in the most brutal match in the WWE: HELL IN CELL. WM 28 looks like it will be a phenomenal PPV. However, having said that, I still feel doubt that whether WM 28 will surpass 1 million buy, let alone the most purchased WWE PPV. Two reasons are behind my doubt.

The first reason is that the Rock appears to be not the same rating drawer like he was last year. Last year WM 27 people were excited to see their Attitude Era hero came back for the first time in 7 years. People were hyped to see what the Rock would do. However, the Rock does not seem to be the same larger-than-life man. His return to the ring and team up with John Cena at Survivor Serie 2011 was a disappointment from the business point of view. Survivor Serie drew about 300.000 buys. With the PPV hyped with the Rock first ever in-ring action, the buy rate did not significantly increase. Recent Raw episode featuring the Rock and Cena did not boost the rating dramatically. Last week’s episode only gained 3.2 rating which was a worry for the WWE. The rating should be at 3.9 or slightly over 4. Are people still interested in the Rock coming back or people have lose interest in the product because of the 1 year feud which the heat is over. I am really skeptical about this.

The second reason is the lack of celebrity for WM 28. WWE usually invites celebrity to the Grandest Stage of them all with the likes of Floyd Money Mayweather, Sumo Wrestler Akebono, Donald Trump, Snooki and so on. However, the big name celebrity is yet to be released. We are not certain whether WM 28 will feature some mainstream celebrity.

WWE loses its rating, Raw and Smackdown rating are going down. WHY??

So why?? A very popular culture of America is on the downhill slope? We used to hear people talking about what had happened at schools when we met our friends. Wrestling was just popular at that day. But now why?? Well, there are many reasons that contributed to the near-demise of WWE.
